This is the finish I use on every cutting board I make. It is food safe and easy to apply. I make it myself with beeswax non-toxic wood-friendly ingredients, and it smells great. To keep your cutting board working and looking like new, this wax should be applied whenever the board begins to look a little "dry" - preferably, before. The food-safe ingredients nourish the wood and seal the pores, so that your board will stay easy to clean and a joy to use. My wax lasts much longer, and seals the wood better than mineral oil. Instructions for use: Apply Jerry's Board & Bowl Wax with a small dry cloth to your clean, dry board just like you're waxing a car. Once the wax is thoroughly rubbed in, buff the board with a clean, dry cloth to remove excess wax. The pores of the wood are now sealed and the board is easily cleaned. The wax works great for wooden bowls, spoons, and rolling pins, as well as cutting boards. The wax comes in an airtight, reclosable, 12-ounce container. |
