Laurelwood Bud Vase #1 I made this weed pot from Laurel. Normally, Laurel is light-colored like maple, but in this case, half of the piece it is made from had mineral staining that turned it a beautiful and very rare, olive-green. It is signed, dated and numbered on the base. This is the number one vase in a limited series, and sure to be very collectible. The vase is approximately 5-1/2" tall and 3" in diameter. The neck is hollowed and tapered. It has been sanded to 600-grit and hand rubbed with Danish oil until it glowed. Please contact me to inquire. |

My bud vases are hand-made from natural wood that is rough-turned green and air dried. I then finish turn the vases, sand and hand finish with Danish oil. Paste wax should be applied periodically to maintain the warm glow of the finish and protect it from the environment. Over time, your vase's color will age and mellow. Natural aging can be reduced by protecting the vase from sunlight. Please do not place water in the vase or immerse the vase in water. |
